Day 2 of the Winnie and Walter’s Share the Love Challenge with Ellen Hutson is focused on Sentiments. Five challenges…and the chance to win some much needed W&W product! We have to create a new card using Ellen Hutson product(s) plus at least one W&W product (I only own a few cutaway dies!!! so this is going to be hard) within the designated daily category.
I initially thought “Home Sweet Home” for the focal sentiment. I have a number of new home cards I need to make. Seems like everyone has been able to sell their home, except me…fingers crossed that my time is coming. As I was skimming through my dies, the Paper Smooches “welcome” grabbed me and I thought it would be great. The Ellen Hutson bear (which is one of my favorites!) is holding a tiny Lockhart house. Isn’t it cute? I think it is a great card for a housewarming package.
I stamped, embossed and fussy cut the bear and house. The tiny house is Copic-colored. Fussy cut around the bear’s arms and nestled the house (I don’t own the bear die) and adhered from the back. Lightly traced the bear outline on an A2 card base. Distressed squeezed lemonade and tumble glass from the center of where the bear would be placed. Die cut the two sentiment words 3x and layered. Adhered an oval footer under the distressed, then centered the bear, and finally the sentiments overhead.
