Twofer Card Challenge #6: Trees

At the Twofer Card Challenge this month, we are creating TWO cards with the same stamp for TWO different occasions.  The theme we are focused on in June is TREES.  The stamp I chose to work with is Memory Box’ Pine Border and Outline. My cards: 1) a Christmas card, die cut and layered with acetate to showcase glitter decorating the trees, 2) an inspirational card which used the tree border (minus its trunks), on its vertical side as arrows for the sentiment.

Such a fantastic twofer, Elizabeth! I love your glittery trees with my favorite Christmas color combo: red and lime green! What a wonderful idea to use those trees as bright arrows to focus attention to a great sentiment! Thanks for joining in the fun with us at the Twofer Card Challenge!

  2. Anita in France says:

Those shimmery Christmas trees are so delicious, Elizabeth … love how you have them taking centre stage on those festive coloured mats! Genius use of the same trees as arrows … and rainbow ones at that … just brilliant … and the most wonderful sentiment to go with them! CAS and gorgeous! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Anita 🙂

  3. Darnell J Knauss says:

I am so excited to find another way to use that die! It would never have occurred to me in a million years, Elizabeth, and I think it’s genius! I wonder if AAA Cards is still having their Geometric challenge; you should enter your arrow card there, too! And using rainbow colors makes it even more dashing! Of course, I also love your conventional use of the die as Christmas trees on your beautiful card! Love how you glittered them and put them behind acetate! Thank you so much for joining in Twofer Card Challenge #6! Hugs, Darnell
