Top 12 2018 Cards/The Card Concept #105 {Favorite Card}

For the final challenge in 2018, Card Concept is asking us to pick our favorite card of 2018.   So love this idea!  Although I did pick ONE final card, I chose 12 cards that I either love or loved making in 2018.  Thanks Card Concept for allowing me to sort through a lot of photos from this year… it was such fun!

Muse: ChristmasVisions 102

I am going to miss Christmasvisions so much.  Ardyth and the team did an amazing job inspiring us to create a cache of Christmas cards throughout the year.  I love distressing, and the colors in this card seemed so inviting.

In no particular order, here are my other favorites from 2018.

Where Creativity Meets C9 Challenge #17: Use Your First C9 Set

Where Creativity Meets C9 is another challenge I miss.  I love C9 stamps.  This card was made for a close friend that passed this fall.  Maxine will be missed…she truly loved receiving my cards in the mail (even though she personally saw me everyday at the dog park).  Maxine was an amazing person and the best of friends.

Muse Challenge #260

Yet another challenge I will miss in 2019… Muse.  The DT from Muse taught me so many techniques!  I loved this technique using embossing paste over a stencil; the background was created from a mix of metallic ink sprays.

Memory Box Challenge #32- Snow and Winter

I love this pine stamp from Memory Box, but I truly loved the white space it left for me to distress!

Inspired By All the Little Things #77 Featuring Linda Snodgrass

This is a fun set of stamps from Essentials by Ellen. The card featured lots of masking, coloring and distressing!

Freshly Made Sketches #366 – Sketch by Cécile

I absolutely loved the simplicity of this design from Freshly Made Sketches!

Freshly Made Sketches #338 – A Sketch by Kim

This card has a special place in my heart.  I made the card for my Dad.  He passed September 1 and is truly missed.  Dad loved his vegetable garden and delivering his goodies to friends and family.  I loved coloring this card!

CASology Week 290: ABSTRACT

This card was just plain fun to make!  I felt so creative even though the design belongs to one of the greats.

Addicted to CAS Challenge #129 – Teal

This card was made with a fav old set from Papertrey… what I love is the teal combined with bits of Delicata gold.

AAA Card Challenge – CAS Game #113 – Perfect Day

I absolutely love these layering stamps from Waffle Flower.  This card just reminds me of fun summer days in the pool!

A Blog Named Hero Challenge: Use Your Favorite Hero Arts Product

More fantastic colors being distressed. I love not only the distressing but the stamped overprint in a matching color.

Freshly Made Sketches #359 – A Sketch by Narelle

These fortune cookies are so versatile.  I love that anyone receiving a card with these cookies just love the custom messages.

I hope you have a chance to review all your creativity in 2018.  This was an incredibly fun exercise and brought me lots of smiles.  Thanks Card Concept.

I wish everyone a healthy, happy New Year… and lots of time to make cards!
