TIME OUT Challenge #51

TIME OUT Challenge #51

The Time Out Challenge this week specifically asked us to create an Easter and/or Spring card with the optional technique twist of masking.  This was music to my ears since I am trying to amass Easter cards.

I used the new floral canopy from Avery Elle….so pretty!  First, I added a light blue watercolor wash to the base card stock.  I embossed the image in gold and filled the image in with Copics.  Once colored, I die cut “Easter” and then used score tape to secure the base card to a folded A2 card.  “Easter” was die cut three times out of orange card stock and layered, the fourth layer was the copic colored layer removed from the base card stock.  When the embellishment was made, it was fit into the opening on the card.

***Note the card is a little warpped.  I should have sent it through my Big Shot before inserting the Easter embellishment to flatten.  Still pretty though.***

Thank you for visiting! Elizabeth

Supplies: Avery Elle Canopy, Simon Says Stamp Easter, Kurtake watercolors, Copics, Hero Arts embossing powder

This is stunning. I adore how the flowers fall and almost seem to hug the sentiment. The colours look amazing surrounded by the gold. So pleased you shared this with us at Time Out
