TIME OUT Challenge #133

TIME OUT Challenge #133

This week, at TIME OUT, we are working with EMBELLISHMENTS, two or more.  I used metallic thread and pearls.  I had always considered washi tape an embellishment, not a layer, until I was disqualified in another challenge.  I tried hard to make this a one-layer card, but with the washi already on the card, it screamed for a fun butterfly die cut to match! Enjoy.

Supplies: Concord & 9th Flora and Flutter, Savvy Stamps Be Well, gold Mirracard, kraft, washi tape (stash), metallic thread (stash), pearls (stash)

Gorgeous, Elizabeth … that delicate butterfly and nest of thread is just a delight against the different washi tapes! I’ve always thought of washi as both an embellishment and a layer … and to my eyes, your card is simply beautifully embellished! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Time Out! Hugs, Anita 🙂

I love this wonderful card, and your embellishments are fabulous. I love the look of that gold thread, and think it makes a fabulous launching pad for your elegant gold butterfly.

Well I think washi tape is an embellishment but also one layer, so we would have called it that! Oh I adore this, the mix of colours is amazing and I adore the butterfly. I have this and love it every timeI use it. I habe the flower like it to….of you don’t, have a look at it, it is stunning, just like your amazing card! Thank you for joining us at Time Out
