The Paper Players – PP420 – A Sketch Challenge from Sandy

It is Week 4 so we have a Sketch Challenge over at The Paper Players.  This week, our challenge host, Sandy, is asking us to create cards incorporating a small square with 2 small rectangles layered behind the focal square.  Of course, I am still making Christmas cards so I thought red and green and marched forward!

This card centers on a new Teeny Tiny Townie from Stamping Bella.  I chose two “christmasy” layering papers and then copic-colored the image.  I stamped and embossed the sentiment flag a second time, copic-colored and fussy cut.  I layered all the images on the base card and added a few sequins/beads as a final touch.

Supplies: Stamping Bella Teeny Tiny Townie Happy Holidays, My Favorite Things Pierced Squares STAX, Versafine Clair (black), Hero Arts embossing powder, Copics, Memory Box 6×6 and Papertrey Ink 8×8 Holiday Cheer cardstock, Pretty Pink Posh sequins and beads

Elizabeth, this is just so sweet. The little Christmas girl is just adorable, and I love the patterned papers. Thanks for rocking my sketch!

I like those geometric Christmas papers you’ve used. Your Christmas girl made me think of Red Riding Hood when I saw her. I like how the pennant swoops across the whole card – it’s a lovely effect.
