It is week 1! We have a Theme Challenge over at The Paper Players. This week, our challenge host, Sandy, is asking us to create cards using TREES and or LEAVES. I am using an old Walter & Winnie set that has a number of wonderful abstract trees.
So it is the first week of October… it is my birthday and usually the peak weekend for New England leaf viewing. I lived in Connecticut forever before moving down to south Florida two years ago. Although I truly disliked the cooler temps, I loved the leaves and the smell of fall. Palm trees don’t quite equate to fall for me. I decided to create my trees illustrating those glorious colors of fall: yellow, orange, red, gold and brown. The card is primarily distressed (lots of masks were involved) and the small bits were copic-colored. Enjoy.
Supplies: Walter & Winnie Kindness with Evelyn T, Technique Tuesday Celebrate the Fall, My Favorite Things Blueprints 13, Hero Arts Infinity Circles, Distress Ink, Versamark Clair (brown), Hero Arts embossing powder, Copics, Kraft, Pretty Pink Posh sequins
