We have a CAS Challenge over at The Paper Players!  This week, our challenge host, Claire, is asking us to create clean and simple cards using the theme: sports and your your favorite team.  Let me be honest from the start…I am not a sports person, at all.  I will occasionally play and or watch golf but there are no favorite “teams” in golf.  I used to hate those marathon date weekends in college that started on Friday and ended on Sunday, all in the name of football.  I should also mention that I went to the only private school in the southeastern conference, Vanderbilt.  We always lost (and still do).  I did my graduate degrees at Colorado… a team at the bottom of the PAC-12.  All I can say is “Go Team Go!”…thus my card.

On a small panel, I distressed clouds using a stencil.  I stamped a dotted path line in gray Versafine and added a Jolee’s football sticker.  I die cut the sentiment’s letters from gold mirracard, and adhered to the panel. Finally, the panel was adhered to an A2 card base. Enjoy.

Supplies: Memory Box Classic Uppercase Alphabet, Lawn Fawn Flying By (dotted line), Rosie Roadshow cloud stencil, Distress ink, Versafine Clair, Jolee Stickers Footballs and Helmets, mirracard

I’m with you Eliz, I am not a sports person AT all! You certainly rose to the occasion though, what a fun card and I love your cloudy background!

  2. jaydee says:

Elizabeth, this is CAS perfection. Your background is wonderful and the little ball with the sentiment is perfect for any team. So worth the effort!

  3. Joanne James says:

Well, for someone who isn’t into sport, you sure created a fabulous card Elizabeth! Those sponged clouds add so much depth and I love the sharp lettering that spells out your motivational message. A tremendous card!

  4. Claire Broadwater says:

Elizabeth, I am so sorry my card challenge caused you stress! I LOL about your comment about Vanderbilt. I went to Indiana Univ and our football team was terrible! But, we could play basketball! I think you card turned out great! The clouds are gorgeous and I appreciate you being a great sport! Wishing you a great week, My Friend! XX
