We have a Color Challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, our challenge host, LeAnne, is asking us to create cards using the following Stampin’ Up colors: Pumpkin Pie, Mango Melody, So Saffron. I do not have any Stampin’ Up inks so I have chosen three Distress inks close in color: Spiced Marmalade, Wild Honey, and Squeezed Lemonade. I made a simple one-layer card (my favorite type of card!). My first step was to entirely distress my card base in Squeezed Lemonade. Then using an MFT stencil, I distressed the sunbeams in Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade. When dry, I stamped the sentiment. Easy peasy.
Supplies: My Favorite Things Sun Ray, Technique Tuesday Bring on the Sun, Distress ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade), Versafine Clair

Easy peasy and oh so fabulous. Love this, Elizabeth. The colors you’ve achieved are so vibrant and fresh–it’s happiness on a card! And the one-layer aspect makes it CAS perfection, my friend!
Elizabeth, your blending is perfect and I love the way you placed the sentiment in the top left corner. Gorgeous card and perfect sentiment

What a happy sunshine-y card, Elizabeth! Terrific job sponging and stenciling, too!
So creative! What a great idea for the colors. I love that sentiment too!
I love this! Bright, cheerful and sunny for sure! I love the names of those colors too…wish I had some of this inks myself! Thanks for rocking my challenge, it’s a beauty!
So warm and inviting! Great sentiment and I like the way the sun rays make it look as though there’s real depth in the card. One layer cards – very brave!
Elizabeth your card is fabulous – I can almost feel the warmth of the sun’s rays! And a sweet sentiment to boot – love it!
