We have a Sketch Challenge over at The Paper Players! This week, our challenge host, LeAnne, is asking us to create cards using the sketch to the left. I focused on layering complimentary patterned paper, dancing fairy (wings are colored vellum) and a vellum strip sentiment. I closed with lots of small embellishments.
I am also submitting this card to Poppystamps Challenge PSC#44 – Patterned Paper Please!
Supplies: Poppystamps Graceful Fairy, Poppystamps Garden Lantern, My Favorite Things Fairy Dust (sentiment), Versafine Clair, Hero Arts embossing powder, My Favorite Things glass drops, pink star sequins (stash), Studio Calico wood veneer stars, vellum, Stardream cardstock, Memory Box 6×6 patterned paper, May Arts silver cord

Eliz this is so pretty, and what a great way to use that paper! I love your soft, fairy-themed card – you have brought all of the elements together seamlessly. I love the way the lantern draws the eye to the fairy too – so clever. A beautiful card!
What a dreamy card! Love that garden lantern and the dancing fairy inside…just brilliant! Hope you had a good week ~ Hugs, Annie
Elizabeth, this is so beautiful! I love that you used all those pretty patterns of DSP. The little fairy ballerina is so delicate and the little embellishments are perfect! BEAUTIFUL! I am sending you a big hug! XX

This is just delightful! I LOVE the fairy and how her wings are colored! And the patterned paper is just beautiful!
How beautiful! I love the sentiment and soft look to the card…so pretty!
This is so sweet and pretty. I’m always a bit scared off by patterned paper, especially when it’s more than one pattern! Yet you have created a soft fairy wonderland with yours. I like the juxtaposition of the delicate fairy (love her wings) with the strong shape of the lamp. It creates such an interesting frame for her.
