We have a Tic Tac Toe Challenge over at The Paper Players!  This week, our challenge host, Joanne, is asking us to select a row, column or diagonal with which to create our card.  I chose the first column: FLOWERS, BIRTHDAY and YELLOW.

This card is simple to create.  I used Altenew’s Charmed flowers and the sentiment is from Papertrey.  The images are embossed, in black, on watercolor paper, then quickly watercolored with Gansai Tambi.  I die cut the watercolor sheet with the A2 die in MFT Blueprints 16.  This is my favorite A2 die; it cuts exactly to 4.25 x 5.5 and adds a very narrow embossed edge.  Final step: adhere to a card base and add a couple sequins.  Beautiful and done!

Supplies: Altenew Charmed, Papertrey Ink Wet Paint, My Favorite Things Blueprints 16, Versafine, Hero Arts embossing powder, Kurtake watercolors, Pretty Pink Posh sequins

  1. Barb says:

I love your florals, the rich yellow tones offset with their crimson centres – all watercolored makes them look like a painting!

  2. Joanne James says:

This is gorgeous Eliz – those bright yellow flowers with the pop of pink in the middle, picked up by your sprinkle of sequins, there’s something about yellow that makes for such a cheery card and yours is definitely no exception.
