Hopefully you are settling into 2018 and no longer writing 2017 on your checks!  We have another fun challenge over at The Paper Players.  This week is our Color Challenge hosted by the lovely Jaydee. Your card should incorporate Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide PLUS any other color of your choice!

I am hoping that by the time this post is published that we will be a lot warmer here in South Florida.  Tomorrow is expected to reach freezing.  Between the hurricanes and these temperatures, I am wondering if I should question my move last year from Connecticut.  No…Florida is still fantastic the majority of days!

When you look at my card above, you understand the inspiration.  Baby, IT IS cold outside.  The card was relatively simple.  I distressed an A2 panel in the required green and blue.  Splattered white paint to create the feel of snow over the entire panel. Die cut glaciers created the site line. A white embossed iceberg gives my polar bear a platform.  My bear was stamped, embossed and fussy cut, then colored in with Copics.  When complete I decided to white emboss snowflakes on his sweater to bring the theme home!  I die cut the panel to a smaller size and adhered to an A2 card base. The embossed sentiment is die cut and mounted with foam tape. The final touch was a selection of sequins and jewels.

Supplies: My Favorite Things Cool Day, My Favorite Things Icebergs, My Favorite Things Word Bubbles, Memory Box Cross Stitched Rectangle Frames, Amuse Artstamps Cold Outside, Rosie Roadshow Snowflake, Distress ink, Versafine Onyx, Versamark, Hero Arts embossing powder, Copics, Kurtake watercolors, Pretty Pink Posh and Little Things by Lucy’s Cards sequins and jewels

Is it wrong that the first thing I thought when I saw your card is – where can I get a sweater like that LOL!! I love your card, very appropriate for how cold it is here in NYC right now. I love the detail on the Bears sweater too. Cx
