Welcome back to 2018 and another fun challenge over at The Paper Players!  I am joining the team for six months as a Guest Designer… and am SO EXCITED!  Thank you for visiting with me today. This week is our Theme Challenge hosted by the very talented Sandy.  We are creating “puny” valentines.

This card has history. Over the last six months, I have been recouping from cornea surgery on both of my eyes.  My retinal surgeon is amazing.  The week before Christmas, I received the thumbs up from him and am now on a yearly visitation schedule.  My eyesight is so much clearer…it is amazing.  As I was flipping through my stamp sets, the MFT Geek is Chic jumped right out to me.  I love the sentiment… You’re my Clark Kent!  To make this card come to life, I had to add Clark Kent’s glasses that hide his superpower to SEE ANYTHING!  To fill out the valentine, I created an eye chart of die cut letters stating my love for Clark Kent.  I covered the eye chart with a sheet vellum which Clark can bore through!  Puny enough?

Supplies:  My Favorite Things Geek is Chic, My Favorite Things By the Letter Uppercase, Versamark, Hero Arts embossing powder, black Mirracard (glasses), vellum, Fiskars hand punch (heart)

Welcome to The Paper Players, Eliz! I agree with Jan, this card is brilliantly done with the area outside the glasses out of focus, So glad your surgery was a success and you are seeing clearer yourself.

ElizStewart, welcome. Isn’t it such a thrill to guest with Paper Players? This card is clever. I like that you made the eye chart and the way the the letters behind the glasses are darker and clearer is genius. Love the sentiment and the card. Have a great week.
