The Paper Players PP369 - A Theme Challenge from LeAnne

This week at Paper Players, we have a theme challenge, “Holiday Pines”.  I took it to heart and made a pine branch the focal point of my card.  I used the Memory Box Pinecone Frame.  I lightly distressed a cream panel and die cut the frame. On the cream panel, I stamped dark green pine branches at the branch nodes.  I die cut the frame a second time from dark brown cardstock (to use the branch and outside frame). I adhered the cream and dark brown die cuts to an A2 card base.  I die cut the frame a third time from copper Stardream; and inlaid the pinecone pieces.  I die cut the sentiment from gold and red cardstock, layering to create a shadow.  As a final touch, I splattered white metallic paint on the card (as snow!).

Supplies: Memory Box Pinecone Frame, Impress Stamps Pine Branch, Savvy Stamps Warm Wishes, Simon Says Stamp Midnight Green ink, Antique Linen Distress ink, Kurtake metallic paints, Stardream

Wow! I thought it was lovely when I thought (from a distance) that it was stamping. Now I know it’s inlaid die cuts, I’m even more impressed. Really beautiful work! Thanks so much for joining us at The Paper Players.
