The Flower Challenge #31 ‘Sketch’

The Flower Challenge #31 'Sketch'

This month at the Flower Challenge we are working with a sketch.  I have to be honest. I found this sketch exceedingly hard though I am happy with the final result.  The hard decision was in choosing the layered backgrounds.  I find I am moving further and further away from layers in my cards.  I settled on using two Distress Oxide color combinations from KWerner’s new DOX series.  Oxide Combo 1: Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Seedless Preserves.  Oxide Combo 2:  Fossilized Amber, Ripe Persimmon, Candied Apple.  The flowers are simply die cut from Neenah solar white.

Supplies: Memory Box Chloe Stem, My Favorite Things Vertical Stitched Rectangles, Rubber Stamp Tapestry sentiment, Distress Oxide ink, Memento Tuxedo Black
