We are celebrating The Flower Challenge‘s first birthday! Yah! And very appropriately, the team has asked us to create cards with our favorite flower.  So I initially misread the request and in thinking about my favorite flower last night, I came up with Julie Ebersole’s Mondo Magnolia.  Magnolias are one of my favorite flowers (I don’t have an iris stamp which is my absolute favorite), and this is my favorite flower stamp!

Irma took a toll on my landscaping and literally burned plants.  So I am replacing a number of trees and bushes.  One of the key plantings I am putting in is a magnolia…love ’em!  I love this stamp because it is BIG.  I could stamp it more than once for effect, but often once will do the trick.  It is super easy to watercolor,  Wet on wet, and just let the colors flow.

Supplies: Essentials by Ellen Mondo Magnolia, Walter and Winnie Thanks Cutaway, Versafine, Hero Arts embossing powder, Kurtake watercolors, Stardream, Pretty Pink Posh sequins, glitter tape, Doodlebug washi tape (stash)
