Spectacular photo inspiration over at The Challenge this week…there was so much to choose/think about in this photo. I focused on the pinks, greens and gold, the large bloom and butterfly.
I selected a pale green and pink patterned paper, and trimmed it slightly smaller than an A2 card. I adhered it to a gold Stardream card base. I stamped a trio of butterflies in the upper right corner in gold Delicata ink. On watercolor paper, I stamped and gold embossed the magnolia. I watercolored the flower, in pinks, with Kurtake paints. When dry, I die cut and adhered the magnolia to the card base, and trimmed. I die cut the sentiment 3x, layered, and adhered. I tied some sheer gold ribbon around the spine of the card to continue to accent the gold (I do love gold!). The final touch was a few pink sequins.
