We have an amazing rainbow quilt for inspiration at The Challenge this week! As a quilter…I love, love, love it! I decided to make my own quilt for the challenge. Using half inch strips of a rainbow of colors I wove a mat, taping from behind to secure the strips. I cut the mat down to an A2 size, added the wonky frame border, and adhered to a card base. I thought the fun background would be great for another Mother’s Day card and decided the cute little bear from Simon Says could deliver the greeting. I paper pieced the bear, copic coloring the small bits, and adding enamel dots to make his eyes pop. I die cut the balloon, stamped the sentiment, tied it to the bear; mounting both to the card to finish.
Supplies: Simon Says Stamp Bear Necessities, Avery Elle Wonky Stitches, Mama Elephant Mini Messages, Penny Black Uplifting, Versafine, Ranger enamel, May Arts ribbon, Copics
