Taking a break to…

It has been a month since I have visited my craft room, but I have a good reason.  I decided about six weeks ago that the pandemic offers the perfect opportunity to write our family history.  This project is all-consuming, almost a new job.  I am spending 8 to 10 hours a day reaching out, finding and recording the data of family members.  My plan is to publish an ebook for most family members, with the option of hard copy for those without internet access.  Family members seem excited and more than willing to participate (I come from a HUGE family).  With everyone having time on their hands, I am making progress.  I will be back to cardmaking, just not sure when.

Thank you.

That sounds like a great project. I imagine you’ll find lots of family folklore and stories that will be fun. And perhaps a few eyebrow-raising stories. I found out my great-grandfather was a boot-legger during prohibition. And what my mother was told was the “hen house”, really was used for other purposes. :). Fun stuff! Good luck and ENJOY.

I love this news, Elizabeth! Family history can be so interesting – especially when you come from a HUGE family!
Best of luck to you – we’ll all be here when you come back!
