I am thrilled to be a Guest Designer this week at Retro Rubber.  Retro Rubber is my new secret pleasure… letting me discover forgotten treasures in my wood stamp drawers.  Don’t forget when creating your card to mention how old, your oldest stamp used, is… HAVE FUN CREATING!  I can’t wait to see how you have used your old treasures.  Don’t forget to post by May 3.

I encourage you to stop by and see what the design team is featuring.  Their creations are fabulous.  Be sure to drop them a bit of love when visiting!

On my card above, I have used a Magenta stamp from the late 90s, and a sentiment from the early 2000s.  The image is stamped, embossed and Copic colored.  I edged the image with a black Copic prior to mounting on a black card base.  The sentiment is from an old Technique Tuesday Christmas set (I am repurposing!); and white embossed on the card base.  Enjoy!

Supplies: Magenta Four Season Tiles, Technique Tuesday Jingle All the Way, Versafine Clair Nocturne, Hero Arts clear embossing powder, Copics, Versamark, Hero Arts white embossing powder

Those tiled images really are sharp with the black background and great coloring, and I love how the sentiment stamp works perfectly with this card! Well done and congrats on your guest design spot 🙂

I’m so glad that you’re our Guest Designer this week, Elizabeth. Your quirky season stamp gave me a smile. Using a black base always looks so smart, it’s a wonder we don’t do it more!
