Retro Rubber Challenge 102 | Black And White!

Retro Rubber Challenge 102 | Black And White!

This is the first week I am joining Retro Rubber.  I was drawn to the challenge because one of the key requirements is that we use  at least one stamp older than a year.  I really want to use my stash more.  My New Year resolution is NOT to buy any new stamps or dies until December 2019.  We will see… but joining this challenge should help!  This week’s theme is BLACK and WHITE.  We are to make cards using only black and white.

My “old” stamp is the sentiment by Stampington, circa 2001.

Supplies: Stampington Scandal, Impression Obsession Cover-A-Card Batik Background, Memory Box Curled Ribbons, My Favorite Things Rectangle Frames, Versafine Clair, Hero Arts embossing powder, black Mirracard (ribbon).

LOL, that is a good NY’s resolution! I just posted something similar on my blog today—USE THE STAMPS I OWN!! This is a great way to start…beautiful background and a fun, snarky sentiment! So happy that you played with us and I hope you keep on playing! We would love to see you regularly!!

Welcome Elizabeth. Your resolution is admirable, hopefully our challenge will help you use your stash, negating the need for new things. I try and spend a set amount and sell things too. I find Pinterest helps me use what I have by searching for ideas for a specific item. I love your card, the sentiment is amazing and the whole card is wonderfully elegant. Thanks for joining us at Retro Rubber. Cx

BRAVO, BRAVO!!! I applaud your resolution to use your old stamp sets, that is also mine and, so far, I’ve stuck by it. The last sets I bought were back in December of last year and I’m NOT getting anything else from anywhere until the end of this year.
I love your card, that background is stunning and it looks amazing behind your AWESOME sentiment, I’m so happy you shared this beautiful card with us at RETRO RUBBER, hope you play again next time, so you can keep using your old and beautiful stamp sets.

Welcome to Retro Rubber, Elizabeth! I think my chances of keeping to your resolution to buy no new stamping things for a year is about zero. Such an elegant background and sweet composition for such an unexpectedly barbed sentiment. I love it! Thanks for joining us this week at Retro Rubber and I look forward to seeing how using-your-stash progresses.
