Paper Smooches July 2016: SUMMER

Paper Smooches July 2016: SUMMER

July2016graphic2This month we are saluting summer at Paper Smooches.  Time flew as I pulcer this card together.  My preferred style is CAS but you would never know it from my Paper Smooches submissions.  I started with an A2 panel and die cut a 3″ circle from it.  I trimmed the panel, then stamped and embossed the sentiment on the panel. I foam mounted the panel to a royal blue Stardream A2 card base. With the card base done, I turned my attention to the die cut circle.

I distressed the circle in mermaid lagoon.  I die cut the waves from turquoise and sandpaper (bottom half of die only).  Adhere waves and sand to bottom half of the circle, leaving space for the gull. Die cut the circle again to trim waves and sand. Stamp and emboss the piers and gull on scrap card stock (and card base for placement), copic-color, fussy cut, and foam mount, tucking the piers into the waves.

To create the sun, put scrap card stock in a box and spray with a variety of Mister Huey’s sprays. When dry, die cut the sun and adhere to the circle.

Rub glue around the waves and add glitter. As a final touch, apply a strong adhesive and add shells.
