Muse: ChristmasVisions 53

IMG_4401Our Muse for this week at Christmasvisions is Chriss Blagrave with a one layer challenge (see left). I love Chriss’ honesty on the ‘challenges’ in creating her card…so fun to read because we all face oopsies. Chriss’ solutions were perfect and copied in my card!

I used a new clear set from Poppystamps. Like Chriss, I did lots of masking! I stamped, embossed and copic-colored the poinsettias and leaves. Also I stamped and embossed a sentiment from Ellen Hutson, then added some watercolor black splatter. The final touch was amber gemstones and pearls for the flower centers.

Supplies: Poppystamps Poinsettia Peace, Essentials by Ellen Holly Jolly, Versafine, Hero Arts embossing powder, Copics, Kurtake watercolors, gemstones, pearls

Your poinsettias turned out great, Eliz! Also love how the sentiment fits so snugly in the white space. Seeing it makes me regret that I didn’t buy the stamp set during my last shopping spree at Ellen Hutson.

  2. Birgit Johansson says:

I havn´t seen that stamp before, I got so inspired by your card that I had to google around a bit and found it, and other goodies on Poppystamp own site and blog. Oh, I want to have them all…;)

Oh! This is just stunning! Gorgeous colouring with the Copics and I ❤️ How you snugged the sentiment nestled right into the florals and what looks to be the perfect fit! ?
Your Pearl centers are perfectly and organically placed. So happy to see you in the MCV gallery again this week!
