Muse Challenge #226

Our guest Muse this week is Marcie Sharp.  Her card offered quite a challenge.  Her amazing background is built from a smattering of acrylics.  I don’t own any acrylics so I pulled out a product I haven’t used in ages… my Distress paints.  The initial smooshing was beautiful!  I forgot how fun Distress paints can be!  But to stay within the spirit of Marcie’s card, I distressed the edges of my panel with black soot and vintage photo. (I don’t own either color in Distress Paint so I thought Distress Ink would be the next best option.)  The end result is clearly interesting.

I die cut a neon orange “hello” but the color was too much, so I layered a bronze “hello” over the orange.  Also, I couldn’t help myself, I had to add sequins and beads.

Thanks Marcie!  This was truly a challenging challenge!

Supplies: Simon Says Stamps Big Hello, Distress paint and ink, Pretty Pink Posh sequins and beads, Stardream

Fabulous result it makes me think of the heavens when a storm has been or is coming and the clouds are roiling. Hard to explain but you have captured magnificance here with the blending of the darker colours.
