For the final Merry Monday challenge before the summer break, we are creating Christmas cards featuring moose! I decided to take my inspiration from the picture supplied and create a moose with ornaments surrounding his head… in a very graphic style! My moose is die cut from a piece of wood (literally) that was in my stash. I tried to find again… the closest was at Ellen Hutson (cheery or birch sheet). The wood is very thin, I lined with score tape before die cutting to preserve the shape.
I made the acrylic dots from pony beads. Bake vertical beads on parchment paper for 30 minutes @ 285°. Pony beads melt into perfect little domes. There are a number of You Tube videos on the process.
Supplies: Simon Says Stamp/Kelly Purkey Oh Deer (or Moose in my case!), Memory Box Curled Ribbons, Papertrey Ink Wonderful Words Holiday (stamp and die), Versamark, Hero Arts embossing powder, Mirracard, glitter paper, “wood” from stash, “enamel” dots0
