Merry Monday #202 {Let It Snow}/Online Card Classes Clear & Sheer

imageI took Online Card Classes‘ Clear and Sheer class this week and am putting some new motivation for acetate into this week’s Merry Monday‘s Let it Snow challenge. I wish my photo was better (perhaps I need to take a photography class!).  The card is really engaging live, enough so that I am likely to make more cards along this line. [Click the picture to get a better look.]

On a gray A2 panel, I embossed a random pattern of funky snowflakes from Impress in silver, and attached the panel to a card base.   I cut a half sheet of transparency and scored it at 4.25″.  Taking Debby Hughes’ class advice, I throughly covered the transparency in anti-static powder. I stamped the image with Versamark, and embossed in white (then throughly cleaned the transparency with an antic-static cloth).  I attached the transparency from the back of the card using a line of very thin piece of Scortape along the card seam.  Yes…the card is a little different but it is fun, and the silver snowflakes just sparkle!

Supplies: Penny Black Xmas Memories, Impress Stamps snowflakes, Versamark, Hero Arts white and silver embossing powder, transparency

What a cool technique, Elizabeth! Photographing acetate is probably next to impossible! Thanks for sharing this with us at Merry Monday!
