This week at Just Us Girls, we are working with a photo inspiration board featuring an anchor, lifesaver and tall ship. I focused on the lifesaver and created an SOS valentine. The SOS is fashioned out of misc. pieces. The “S”s were die cut from a large WISH die. The lifesaver or “O” is two, die cut, concentric circles. The red bands were cut from a second red circle using a triangle (to give the appropriate angles). Behind each band, I attached a small red tag. Through the punched tag holes, I threaded cord, and tied at the top. The SOS was adhered atop a base card stamped with block waves in pigment ink.
Supplies: My Favorite Things WISH (used S for SOS), Hero Arts Infinity Circle Dies (base for lifesaver), My Favorite Things Blueprints 16 (triangle to cut red lifesaver bands), Hot Potato Wave, Rubber Soul I’m Lost at Sea, Avery Elle pigment ink, Versafine Clair Nocturne, Hero Arts clear embossing powder, Stampin’ Up 1/2” circle punch, Stampin’ Up mini tag punch, Fiskars 1/8” and 1/16” inch punch, hemp cord (stash)0
