We have a photo inspiration over at Just Us Girls this week, we are working with a photo of amethyst, the gemstone of February. I worked with the color purple and the concept of a gemstone.
I made a watercolor panel with lots of purple and metallic splatter. Truth time–I had initially white embossed the sentiment on the panel. The result was awful and not readable on the purple (it seemed clear in my head). I really liked the watercolor panel. I attempted to fix the mistake by stamping the sentiment on a vellum panel, then gluing the vellum over the initial white sentiment. The vellum panel seemed to save the card….I think. 🙂
Atop the vellum panel, I attached die cut gems and sequins.
