Inspired by All the Little Things #15

imageThis week at Inspired by All the Little Things we have a fun geometric photo to drive our creative juices.  I loved working on this card.  I began by making a template for an equilateral triangle. I traced and cut out a lot of triangles from scraps of orange, yellow, white, black and shades of gray card stock.  I marked an A2 panel horizontally and vertically, and began randomly adhering the triangles.  Once the triangle panel was complete, I adhered it to a card base and trimmed.  I white embossed the sentiment on black card stock (and cut the edge at the same angle as the triangles).  I added several coils of silver thread to the card and adhered the sentiment.  The final touch was several acrylic dots.

Note: I made the acrylic dots from pony beads. Bake vertical beads on parchment paper for 30 minutes @ 285°. Pony beads melt into perfect little domes. There are a number of You Tube videos on the process.

Supplies: Impression Obsession sentiment, Versamark, Hero Arts embossing powder, May Arts ribbon, acrylic dots
