On Ellen’s Pin-Sights Challenge this month, our photo inspiration is focused on polka dot and chevron patterns in either red or blue. I focused on red and selected a polka dotted card base. I watercolored and die cut several big blooms, backing them in vellum. I chose a solid leaf and die cut 7 large and small leaves from green cardstock “Versamarked” with a chevron pattern. I die cut the sentiment from black and silver mirror cardstock, slightly skewing the two pieces when joined to form a shadow effect. I assembled the flower arrangement, gluing from behind to secure, and adhered to the card base. I added silver cord, the sentiment, and as a final touch, gemstones.
