Curtain Call December 15 – Pines

Curtain Call December 15 - Pines

I am so excited to be a Guest Designer again this week over at Curtain Call!  Thank you so much for the invitation.  I hope everyone joins along with PINES!  Above is my inspiration card for this week’s challenge…

I love this pine needle coverplate from Poppystamps.  I knew immediately that I wanted to use it it.  However the actual opening in the pines is quite small so I had to think of a small image that would stand out.  I was thinking of a Robert Frost poem while I debated what to use; in the next synapse, I thought of Memory Box’ horse-drawn carriage.  I set the horse sleigh amid rolling snow drifts cut from shades of Stardream, and a pine tree border.  I copic-colored the trees and splattered them with white paint to emulate snow.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
Robert Frost
