CAS(E) this Sketch #205

Once I saw the thin border lines on this week’s CAS(E) this Sketch, I had the brilliant idea that I would paper piece the sentiment in thin strips. Crazy. The card took forever to put together. I picked 5 pinks, cut 1/8″ strips, adhered to blank card stock, then die cut the LOVE sentiment. I cut similar 1/4″ strips and layered on an A2 card base. I inset the LOVE letters in a red background. The final touch was a glossy purple YOU.

Supplies: My Favorite Things Love Centerpiece, My Favorite Things Blueprints 16, Simon Says Stamp You, Mirracard

This sounds extremely labour intensive – but what a fantastic result. The striping in the letters mean they’re beautifully integrated into the design.
